A relatively easy task

When a "name" coach takes a step down the coaching tree, for whatever reason, he faces a relatively easy job - because of his name. He has an immediate entr�e into important recruiting doors, because some players will be eager to play for the name. He has a multitude of contacts all over the country who can help smooth out his task of jump-starting a program. All of which, of course, are benefit of experience; all of which are reasons to hire a name coach at a lower level. There are several reasons on the other side of the ledger, but plenty on the plus side.
